Will Ending Prohibition Will Cost More Money Than It Collects?

Economic Objection to Ending Prohibition

“Ending prohibition will not raise any money for the government, but actually cost the government more money due to increasing drug addiction.”

False: the govt. spends ____ (much more) in the failed attempts to eradicate drugs. In the Netherlands, where drugs are legal and easy to get, deaths have gone down, and drug use has gone down among teens.

(This could actually be two arguments in one: economic costs to society and social fabric costs. Put each in its own category and link back and forth to each other.)
