Prohibition Prophecy: 21st and 18th Amendments

Introduction

The number 666 has long been considered a bad omen, a bad sign, an evil number, standing for an evil force. A number that somehow indicates evil. Many theories have been put forth as to why. I have discovered another possible explanation, or two.

Adding interest to this theory are some symbolic meanings attached to various numbers, in particular 6 and 7. The number 6 is believed to be the number of “man.” The number 7 is believed to be the number of “perfection” and “completion.” The reasoning behind those interpretations is the symbolism of which “day” God did what. It’s written God made man on the 6th day, and completed/rested on the 7th day. Check it out in Genesis 1:24-31, 2:1-3. [More Info: 1]

Read Revelation chapter 13 and one thing is clear. The beast is all about forcing its will on others. Please note, this is the opposite of our savior, Jesus, Yeshua, the Christ, the Messiah, Wonderful, Counselor. He asks us nicely. He said whoever comes to him, he will not drive away. How many people did Jesus push his will on? None! How many people did Jesus kill? None! Others begged him to do things for them.

Again, this is the opposite of the beast, and the other evil beings, as described in Revelation. Those evil forces are busy enslaving and pushing their wills on everyone, even each other.

In the Bible, in Revelation 13:18, it states the number can be calculated and we should try to figure it out. Apparently the original Greek text used the word “yhfiðzw,” transliterated as “psephizo.” Which, besides meaning to calculate, also has the definition that voting can show the number of the beast.

The 18th Amendment: Prohibition Begins

“Prohibition is evil.”

Back before the Great Depression there was a gathering storm of people looking to push their wills on others. They blamed alcohol for the world’s ills. They blamed alcohol on the destruction of families. Of course they were wrong, alcohol is inert. How does that saying go? “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.” Then there’s the saying of Jesus that it’s not what goes in to your mouth that makes you unclean, it’s what comes out of your mouth that does. [Mark 7:15] Did they meddle lovingly in the lives of those they were concerned about? It doesn’t seem that way, it seems they gave vent to self-righteous head-beating.

It seems they browbeat enough people into going along with them, thus an 18th Amendment to our United States Constitution was enacted, and forced on everyone. Passed by Congress December 18, 1917. Ratified January 16, 1919.

18 = 6 6 6

Let’s analyze this number “18.” Did you know that 18 is 6 + 6 + 6?

Even though false prophets proclaimed that prohibiting everyone from ingesting alcohol would:

  1. actually work
  2. eradicate crime
  3. reduce taxes
  4. reduce government spending

It did none of those things. In fact, the exact opposite of what these high minded, supposedly pious people predicted, happened. Things become drastically worse! You can read more about Alcohol Prohibition in the book of Failed Prohibitions.

The 21st Amendment: Prohibition Ends

In time society saw the light and repealed the 18th (666) Amendment. They rolled it back with the 21st Amendment. Passed by Congress February 20, 1933. Ratified December 5, 1933.

21 = 7 7 7

Hey! Did you know that 21 is 7 + 7 + 7? Hmm... Did you know that 7 is considered to be a much better number than 6? You may wish to read more about the religious significance of 7. Some people consider it the number of perfection.

Conclusion

Now I don’t know about you, but I like the thought of three sevens, as in 777, much better than 666.

Hint: Nerd Joke

Unix permissions screen shot. Down with people who only want us to be able to read and write about the freedom we should have! Give back our God-given, and Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms to read, write, and execute our free will; which includes the freedom to say, “No.”

Down with failed prohibition policies, down with the beast mentality that forces its will on the rest of us, telling us what we can and can’t buy or sell, or give away for free!

Please pray for all those involved.
Amen.
