Yes, sorry to say there are some seriously flawed and diseased minds out there: thug addicts.

What are Thug Addicts?

Thug addicts are members of society with a weakness, a moral deficit: the need to shove their wills on others. Often this is done in a manner unbecoming a civilized society; the bullying of others. The bullying of others with increasingly punitive laws, extreme peer pressure, or general mayhem and violence, even death.

Thug addicts come in all shapes and sizes, as well as all ages. Most professions also contain thug addicts. Although there is no one profession which is exclusively thug addicts, thug addicts do tend to gravitate to certain jobs and certain positions.

While it is not the best strategy to attempt to figure out if people are thug addicts by looking at them, there are instances when you can tell if they are thug addicts with a visual inspection. Chances are if they're carrying a gun, or their pants are falling down past their butts, or talking belligerently, or shouting orders, or demanding respect although they don't deserve it, or any of a number of other indicators, they're thug addicts. But don't be deceived, sometimes thug addicts wear dresses, or act so kind and polite. That is until you say or do something they don't like, or they otherwise decide they need to feed their addiction of thuggery.

What Makes a Thug Addict?

There is ongoing controversy as to whether it's nature or nurture that causes thug addiction. Some thug addicts seem born that way. While other thug addicts seem to be inculcated in a culture of thug addiction.

Some thug addiction starts with power-drunk parties, making laws to stamp out stuff they don't like.

Thug addicts make their own law, which is apart from God's law and doesn't follow it in any way. Thug addicts adhere to their own human-based laws they make up as they go along. They think they are on the right side of the law, but their law is a law of muscle and guns, might makes right. They leave bruised and dead bodies in their wake and make no apologies.

Help for Thug Addicts. Treating Thug Addiction.

By now you're probably wondering what can be done about this scourge of thug addiction in our communities, in our schools, and in our political systems.

One of the first things you can do to help thug addicts is to get them to focus on their own lives. Often times thug addicts are desperately trying to overlook pain and shortcomings in their own behavior and goals in life. So in order to avoid the pain of picking the log out of their own eyes, they are addicted to clawing at the specks in other people's eyes. [Matthew 7:3-5, Luke 6:41-42]

What About Drugs?

Currently there are few known legal drugs to treat thug addiction.

Some thug addicts love illegal drugs, deal illegal drugs, and hate the thought of drug prohibition going away.

Other thug addicts hate drugs, take pride in never having used drugs (although most certainly they do take drugs of some form), scorn anyone who uses drugs, and hate the thought of drug prohibition going away.

You can see this is what many thug addicts have in common with regard to drugs, they hate the thought of drug prohibition going away. They feed their thug addiction by fighting in the War on Drugs, or grandstanding in a self-righteous holier-than-thou manner.
