Welcome to the part of ChristiansAgainstProhibition.org currently outlining and describing a few simple matters:
- What We Are Saying
- What We Are Not Saying
What We Are Not Saying
- What We Are Not Saying is do drugs.
- What We Are Not Saying is if you can’t beat them, join them.
- What We Are Not Saying is get loaded, wasted, etc…
- What We Are Not Saying is being concerned about others is evil.
- What We Are Not Saying is all drugs should be on every corner store's shelves for everyone to try out for fun (near total lack of regulations).
- What We Are Not Saying is all drugs should be in the hands of the black market for it to sell to any one (complete lack of regulations).
What We Are Saying
Political
- What We Are Saying is the reason to end prohibition is to end the violence, corruption, and black market. Dealing with the medical issues of drug addiction must be recognized as the separate issue it is, and dealt with through the medical community.
- What We Are Saying is not all drug use is drug abuse.
- What We Are Saying is children should not be selling drugs. Children are used merely to shield adults trying to avoid brutal penalties, and perhaps to entice other children into trying drugs.
- What We Are Saying is drugs should be regulated and not an instant-pass to prison, or only purchasable from the black market.
- What We Are Saying is prisons should not be run by profit seeking companies, but by the government.
- What We Are Saying is it patently evil to have a system of for-profit prisons. Imprisoning people for profit is near slavery and in many cases, is.
- What We Are Saying is prisons should be reserved for serious criminals.
- What We Are Saying is people transporting drugs will not flee in terror and endanger their lives, and the lives of others.
- What We Are Saying is unsustainable, ballooning, budgets can be slashed and money re-directed.
- What We Are Saying is our country needs more places of learning, and fewer prisons.
- What We Are Saying is much of “the war on drugs” is actually a U.S. Government imposed religion on its citizens (and others’) in violation of both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. (This is evidenced through the many attacks on drug users as being “immoral,” “needing better morals,” or “we're better than that.”)
- What We Are Saying is this right is guaranteed in the United States Constitution in the first paragraph: Congress shall not prevent people from following their religious convictions.
- What We Are Saying is this right is guaranteed in the United States Declaration of Independence in the fourth paragraph: “Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness.”
- What We Are Saying is violence due to drug gangs will go down, perhaps be eliminated; they may not like the paperwork that regulations bring, but friendly competition will most likely be welcomed by them, as opposed to fight-to-the-death battles with each other and government forces.
Religious
- What We Are Saying is Jesus said, “I have come to free the prisoners.” [Luke 4:18] Yes, those in human prisons due to the "crime" of putting something in their body which another person doesn't like. And inviting those who feel like they are prisoners into treatment.
- What We Are Saying is God told Jesus to tell us that nothing you put inside yourself makes you spiritually repugnant to God, it’s what comes out of your mouth that can. [Matthew 15:11]
- What We Are Saying is Jesus expressed his rage against those who pretended to be righteous but "their teachings are but rules taught by men." [Matthew 15:7-9]
- What We Are Saying is Paul’s prophesies are fulfilled in 1 Timothy 4:1-6.
- What We Are Saying is certain plants should be IMMEDIATELY un-shamed. God’s natural products in a non-refined and unadulterated form have been used for religious purposes for millennia, and their use should not be restricted from adults willing to take them.
- What We Are Saying is certain unadulterated and non-refined plants can greatly increase thoughts about God, and the enjoyment of worshipping God, and any adult wishing to partake in those plants has a God-given right to.
- What We Are Saying is Jesus said, “Woe to you, [leaders, and law givers], hypocrites! Because you shut up the Kingdom of Heaven against men; for you don’t enter in yourselves, neither do you allow those who are entering in to enter.” [Matthew 23:13]
Note:
Expect these lists to be re-addressed as need-be. I will make an announcement when I think they are ready for “version 1” status.
