In order to have a conversation where we’re on the same wavelength it’s important to have a common vocabulary. When it comes to discussing drugs there is a multitude of words in use. Some words are code words to hide the use of drugs, some words are from the people who hate drugs and work to vilify what they don’t like, some words come from a non-medical background, and some words come from a medical background.

In this section we will work to define some common ground so there is a common understanding. And so that when drugs are discussed in other parts of this web site, links can be included that point here, to provide definitions if need be.
