I am going to cross-post this forum topic into the book Solving Our Drug Problems > Marijuana > Untapped Healing Properties > Protecting Your Brain Using Marijuana because it's in keeping with more than a few posts there.

Via CNN:

Report: Alzheimer's cases to nearly double every 20 years

http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/09...

"Over the next 20 years, the numbers of people with dementia are anticipated to increase by 40 percent in Europe, 63 percent in North America, 77 percent in the southern Latin America ... and 89 percent in the developed Asia Pacific countries," the report said.

"In comparison, the percentage increase is expected to be 117 percent in East Asia, 107 percent in South Asia, 134-146 percent in the rest of Latin America, and 125 percent in North Africa and the Middle East."

A combination of antioxidants, supplements and curry may also help.

Let's review. In case you have not read "U.S. Government Patent 6,630,507, 'Cannabinoids as Antioxidants and Neuroprotectants'" do so now.

What all-natural, organic, plant could we be encouraging the elderly to add to their diet? How about cannabis with its antioxidant properties, including its ability to be helpful in case of strokes, and as a neuroprotectant!

Surely you know the elderly suffer more strokes than do any other age group. I sure hope you are on the side of ending this misguided prohibition against marijuana instead of making the elderly suffer!
