An article at CNN provides some detail on the growing violence in Chicago, particularly among kids.

What’s the answer? End prohibition of drugs, legalize and regulate drugs via state stores, legitimate drugs stores, etc… This removes the black market, the huge profits, and the violence associated with it.

I guarantee you these kids are not driving to Mexico themselves. I guarantee you these kids are not mixing up meth themselves. It’s adults! And they use kids as their proxies, so the adults can avoid stiff penalties when caught.

Let’s see, do we learn about alcohol prohibition, Al Capone, the violence in Chicago due to prohibition, or do we stick our heads in the sand? Really I mean the politicians since they are the ones pulling the strings, and the self-righteous chest thumpers who have the politicians scared of ending prohibition.

At the same time as ending prohibition, society needs to figure out some acceptable employment options for these kids.
