Prohibition Prophecy: Jonathan Magbie, Sentenced to 10 Days, Faithful Until Death

Submitted by Thinking CAP on Wed, Feb 25, 2009 - 1:14 am

If you read Revelation 2:8-11 you will find a message Jesus sent to the “Angel of the Church of Smyrna.”

Jonathan Magbie, quadriplegic, denied marijuana, imprisoned and died. If you are aware of the story of Jonathan Magbie, then you will see this prophecy in action. You can read more at the MPP web site, but to summarize here, Jonathan, a quadriplegic since the age of 4, found himself in court because police found marijuana on him.

In fact, Jonathan told the judge that marijuana helped him, made him feel better, and he didn't think there was anything wrong with using it. The judge didn't like to hear that and sentenced him to 10 days in prison even though the prosecutor thought it better to let him go home and be on probation.

Jonathan died in prison. Read Revelation and see if there are any parallels:

Revelation 2:8-11 (WEB)

“To the angel of the assembly in Smyrna write:

“The first and the last, who was dead, and has come to life says these things:

“I know your works, oppression, and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and they are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Don’t be afraid of the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested; and you will have oppression for ten days. Be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. He who overcomes won’t be harmed by the second death.”

Please pray for all those involved.
