Website Redesign and Reorganization

Submitted by Thinking CAP on Wed, Nov 11, 2009 - 3:01 pm

I think there are enough articles so that I have a decent enough idea now how to organize things better; or at least how to present them better on the home page. Before too long (months) I hope to redesign the home page so it has less of a reverse-chronological blog look to it. I have been thinking about the main categories to aggregate my essays in to.

Based on my education degree and teaching people of all ages I have come to the conclusion the home page needs to have at least two main categories on it:
1) An introduction for beginners to which this whole concept is novel.

Update 2009-11-10

I may start writing in the blog section more often. But for now some random comments and happenings.

I recently updated the software that runs this website: the best CMS software there is! But it also seems that as i updated another component, the block titled "Today's Most Viewed" stopped sorting properly. It used to sort with the most number of page views at the top, then descend in page count. I've looked in to this a little, but for now I don't have the time. I'm not sure if it's a cache error, I flushed them, or a bug in the module's code.

The leading world-wide anti-prohibition organization, Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP), has launched a new blog.

Formerly hosted at their own website, they are now using to host their new blog. If you haven't updated your bookmarks yet, do!

LEAP website: Favicon.ico.

LEAP Blog @ Favicon.ico.

The good news is you can always find links to both websites in the "Explore More" block in the sidebar on right hand side of the page! So no matter what page you are on, they are always just one click away!

Here's the banner to look for!

Summary of Recent Smears

As the rhetoric against legalizing marijuana heats up, there have been more than a few people who have stepped forward to promote the War on Drugs. They are against legalizing marijuana for any reason, including allowing medical doctors to suggest patients try it. Ironically, much of this opposition is not coming from doctors, but the purveyors of the Drug War.
