If Jeremiah were speaking today he would probably have to add that in many cases “the lifeblood of the innocent poor, though you did not catch them breaking in,” would need to be updated to “you did not catch them breaking in. In fact it was you all breaking into their place with threatening force.”
The Drug War has predominantly been a racist attack on dark-skinned people and on the poor, but not exclusively. The Drug War is also a robbery by various politicians on everyone to pay for destroying others.
As ironic and strange as it sounds, there’s only one thing which can clean that blood off you. The blood of Jesus. Then you must work in earnest to undo this gross injustice! Suicide is NOT the answer. No more commentary for now, I’ll provide links below for further reading.
