Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and everything unclean.
In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous.
Jesus spoke against these hypocrites quite strongly. They are like sick wife-beaters. On one hand they tell you they love you and beg you not to go, but on the other hand they beat you, and tell you you're worthless. They are the ones who are deranged.
We're So Sorry …
So here we see how the prohibitionists are like those Jesus spoke about above. On one hand the prohibitionists pretend to care about the teens, adults, and parents who die from an overdose or become addicted to opioids, meth, or cocaine. They put up memorials to those whom they have killed through their heartless and cruel laws and policies.
… We Killed You and We’d Do It Again
And on the other hand the prohibitionists continue to cheer laws and policies which ensure overdose deaths, which ensures people with addiction issues feel so much shame they can't open up about it, which ensures staggering profits such that people from all ages and walks of life see dealing as a way to get rich, which ensures payoffs to government officials, etc…
Prohibitionist say things like “it’s their own fault for doing drugs,” “it’s good drugs are polluted and of unknown strength, it should discourage people from trying them,” “another druggie dead, good riddance,” “Darwin’s law at work,” “if they didn’t want to die they shouldn’t have done drugs,” “if they weren’t so stupid they wouldn’t have done drugs,” “no one forced them to do drugs,” “yup, once they get out of prison or rehab and start using again, they usually croak because their tolerance goes way down, serves them right (but we’re glad we made money off them while we could),” and similar sentiments, lies, and half-truths.
Just Like Jesus Prophesied
So as we can see, they erect memorials to those whom their policies killed. Jesus also called them wolves in sheep’s clothing. On the outside they appear righteous, all dressed up, many in uniform, or suits, or dresses, often with fancy titles, but on the inside they are full of dead people’s bones and everything unclean.
Please pray they repent. And immediately work to bear the fruits of repentance. Amen.
