What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?

Evil drug prohibition laws caused another needless, shame filled, and painful death; foreshadowing what awaits the Prohibitionists and their supporters.*
[Jesus said,] “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’”
As the Democrats and Republicans while away the remaining hours and days in which they could easily pass legislation to reduce deaths, violence, crime, and taxes — to name but a few benefits of ending the Drug War — it seems instead…
It has been the mission of Christians Against Prohibition to glorify God by pointing out how obvious legalization is: as a Biblical concept and prophecy, in the spirit and text of the U.S.'s Founding Documents, to bring healing of every kind — let alone greatly reducing death and disease.
When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. […] I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, […] When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’
Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. […] I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you […] in prison, and did not help you?’
He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.
Against logic there is no armor like ignorance.
If you have knowledge, let others light their candles at it.
The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon's wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here.
The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now one greater than Jonah is here.
No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.
Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness. See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.
Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be completely lighted, as when the light of a lamp shines on you.
Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and everything unclean.
In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous.
You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.
[…] But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness […]
Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts.
But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.
Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything — all she had to live on.”
Bungee Jumping & Drugs, A Lesson in Harm Reduction is our second flyer to help you convince others of the need to end prohibition.
Before there was bungee jumping there was land diving. What is land diving? Well stay tuned and there will be at least one more page around here which will explain some details. Until then there is the ever helpful Wikipedia: land diving & bungee jumping.
Using the lessons from alcohol prohibition this flyer gives an overview of how prohibition will make all of the harms and potential dangers of bungee jumping exponentially worse. Not only will they be worse, but like modern day drug prohibition, the prohibitionists will rely on circular reasoning and act as though the magnified harms (which are entirely due to prohibition) are justification for continuing their prohibitionist tactics of shame, punishment, brutal and murderous SWAT raids, mandatory prison time, and more.
All of the problems foreseen are taken from the pages of history, from alcohol prohibition. Yes, prohibitionists were able to get their way and add poison to alcohol used for industrial purposes, specifically to harm people if it was consumed. We see this same sick and heartless attitude today from the very mouths of people in our government and prohibitionists who pressure our government.
Read the flyer for more examples.
It should be noted this is not a flyer about thrill seekers, it is not an attempt to analyze or categorize the myriad personalities and reasons why people go bungee jumping or use any of the panoply of substances and plants which have illegally been made illegal.
This flyer draws from history and shows how prohibitionist tactics caused the disasters we know as alcohol prohibition and drug prohibition, and projects them on the sport of bungee jumping.
[Jesus] went on to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard, rented it to some farmers and went away for a long time. At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants so they would give him some of the fruit of the vineyard. But the tenants beat him and sent him away empty-handed.
“He sent another servant, but that one also they beat and treated shamefully and sent away empty-handed.
“He sent still a third, and they wounded him and threw him out.
“Then the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my son, whom I love; perhaps they will respect him.’
“But when the tenants saw him, they talked the matter over. ‘This is the heir,’ they said. ‘Let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’ So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
“What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others.”
When the people heard this, they said, “May this never be!”
Jesus looked directly at them and asked, “Then what is the meaning of [this scripture]: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’?
“Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed.”
The teachers of the law and the chief priests looked for a way to arrest him immediately, because they knew he had spoken this parable against them. But they were afraid of the people.
Keeping a close watch on him, they sent spies, who pretended to be honest. They hoped to catch Jesus in something he said so that they might hand him over to the power and authority of the governor.
